The Strength Of The Lord

Hey everyone!! I hope everyone is well and that everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. Family and friends, life is good! It was a really busy week but I saw so many tender mercies that show me that God is out there cheering us on! All he wants is for His Children to come home to Him.

This week the lesson I want to share is  the great truth that the Spirit testifies of truth, and magnifies our abilities when we strive to do what God has commanded us to do!

This week was awesome because we got to travel around the whole mission to all of the Zone Conferences. We talked a lot about the power and authority that we have as missionaries. In every single zone conference it amazed me how much the spirit testifies of the power we have!! And taught us how to gain more of it to teach and bless others in their search for God. It was a very special experience this week to minister and help every single missionary in the mission.

Besides that, this week was actually pretty different. Basically we recently received 2 senior missionary sisters to be the secretaries of the mission. But, the only problem is that we are the ones in charge of training them, but we have no idea how to do any of that! So basically finishing my mission I am going to be the secretary too haha. But, the truth is that this was one of the most stressful weeks of my mission organizing immigration, rent for the houses, and all that fun stuff. But, I knew that the Lord helped us to be able to fulfill this thing which he commanded us to do. And after every day, I felt the spirit comforting us and giving us the encouragement to keep going.

Also, remember Marco that got baptized a few weeks ago?? Well, we started to teach his son a week ago and he is loving the Gospel of Jesus Christ! He came to church and the whole time he had a huge smile on His face, and he was able to see his dad bless the sacrament. Guys!!! When you bare your testimonies, you are speaking by the power of the Holy Ghost! We had such a powerful sacrament meeting yesterday and Ethan loved it! We are going to try to put a baptism date with him this week.

The following scripture has been in my mind recently. It is Mosiah 10: 10-11:

10 And it came to pass that we did go up to battle against the Lamanites; and I, even I, in my old age, did go up to battle against the Lamanites. And it came to pass that we did go up in the strength of the Lord to battle.
11 Now, the Lamanites knew nothing concerning the Lord, nor the strength of the Lord, therefore they depended upon their own strength. Yet they were a strong people, as to the strength of men.

The strength of the Lord is the power of Jesus Christ to elevate our abilities and make us stronger than what we can do just by ourselves. I have seen this time after time in my mission and in the missionaries doing things that only the Lord can do THROUGH them. Zeniff with his small army, in his old age was able to beat the lamanites in battle, and they did it through their faith in Jesus Christ. Christ will ALWAYS elevate our abilities to do what He needs to have happen. And He can only do it if we are humble and do not trust in our own strength.

Thanks for all the support! It's crazy that August has already gone by! I love you all! Have an amazing week! I'll see you soon!
