This Is His Church

Hey everyone! How are we doing? All good around here. It was a pretty crazy week with a lot of stuff going on, but God is good and he helped us a lot to be able to get everything done.

This week I learned a lot about revelation and I want you all to know that I know and I have learned that revelation from God is REAL!! I know that Jesus Christ is the center of this church and that Jesus Christ himself leads it. This week I could see how the hand of the Lord guided the mission through the restored priesthood keys that our President holds.

Quickly I want to share a scripture that President shared with us that I loved. In Moses 3:5,7 says,

5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew. For I, the Lord God, created all things, of which I have spoken, spiritually, before they were naturally upon the face of the earth. For I, the Lord God, had not caused it to rain upon the face of the earth. And I, the Lord God, had created all the children of men; and not yet a man to till the ground; for in heaven created I them; and there was not yet flesh upon the earth, neither in the water, neither in the air;

7 And I, the Lord God, formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul, the first flesh upon the earth, the first man also; nevertheless, all things were before created; but spiritually were they created and made according to my word.

Every single detail of our salvation was planned beforehand and God is in control of all things. He knows what is happening and He wants to bless His children. I share this scripture because this week we did a lot of planning for the Leadership Council and for the Zone Conferences. It is always such a special experience because I can see how the inspiration comes, inspired comment after inspired comment until we reach a conclusion of what needs to be done. It is a sacred responsibility to be worthy of the gift of revelation!

One thing that we have been working on as missionaries is working with inactive members, recent converts, and part member families to find other people to teach. We have been working with the family Villegas for about 8 months to help them come back to church. After visiting them week after week, and sharing message after message they were just not willing to come back. So, my companion and I decided to share a special message after praying and fasting to know how to help them. Leaving the lesson Saturday night, we had such an amazing feeling coming into Sunday and they came to church! And the son of the family told us that he was going to start preparing to serve a mission!

I testify that by preparation, comes power from on high. God loves and cares for us so much that He wants us to know what is the path to take to return to Him. Think about what you are in need, what personal direction you need from God in your life right now. and ask for personal revelation. I love you all and have an amazing week!!
