There Is Peace In Christ

Well, I just had one of the most awesome weeks of all my time as a missionary. And also one of the fastest! I'm really loving my new area and especially my new companion. It's been an amazing rainy week here in Puebla!

This week I really could feel my testimony growing. On Tuesday, we went to the temple with all the missionaries in training in the mission! It was so amazing to be with President and all the new missionaries and feel their strong desire to follow God and serve with all their might and strength. Afterwards, we had a devocional where we talked about forming good habits as new missionaries so those habits stay with us throughout all the rest of our missions.

On Wednesday, we went to the new zone (La Libertad) we just received thanks to the mission split. They're all great missionaries and are very willing to adapt to the culture of our mission. It's been an interesting transition to all of our mission, but we know it's part of God's plan with his infinite wisdom and love.

We also had our meetings with President for the upcoming transfers this week. Let me tell you that was SUCH a special spiritual experience for me. It was all centered on the spiritual growth and wellbeing for each and every missionary. Seriously, we talked about EACH and EVERY missionary one by one. And the way it all comes together and the way the spirit confirms it all grew my testimony that God really does know us one by one, and that we are graven in the hands of our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ.

Recently I have just felt so much peace and happiness in my mission, because I have centered my mission and my life in the Savior Jesus Christ. My companion recently told me that the Devil can replicate almost all feelings that we have, except for the divine gift of Peace. Like 3rd Nephi 22:10 says,

10: For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

Everytime we make a convenant with God, we receive Peace from the power of Christ. That is why the temples are full of peace and hope. Thanks to covenants! I testify that true peace is only found in Jesus Christ. And if we aren't feeling this peace (that kind of rock in the shoe type of feeling) for something, then we need to go through the joyous process of repentance!

I just love the mission so much! I have felt the Peace of Christ change my life and help others so much. I love you all!! Have an amazing week!
