Gettin ‘er Done Our Here

Hey everyone! Sorry for not writing last week, but these 2 weeks have flown by! Let's just say that we got 'er done these past couple of weeks.

So, two weeks ago there were transfers. And let me tell you they are a lot more stressful haha as an AP. But it really strengthened my testimony that God knows each and every single missionary perfectly and knows what needs to happen so that they can grow! On Wednesday we picked up the new missionaries and it was so awesome to be with them and meet them. They were all really tired though and didn't have a lot of energy which was so weird because I literally was so hyped to see them and I have had SO MUCH energy recently which is weird because I hit 21 months last week!

The next day on Thursday we spent the whole day with the missionaries that were leaving. On the 4th of July we went to a REALLY fancy steakhouse and we celebrated their last meal as missionaries. Then we went back to the mission home, played basketball, and we had their final devotional. Those two days were very spiritual seeing the growth that a missionary has by starting and then finishing their mission.

This past week we had our leadership council and also we had a lot of planning meetings for the transfer. Every detail is planned with the spirit so we can help our missionaries grow and get better! I just love the mission so much I have been so happy lately!

I just love how the grace of Christ is so present in the lives of our friends in teaching! For example, our friend Noah has been heavily drinking for a very long time and was slowly getting worse and worse. But, then he started to read the Book of Mormon every day and since then he hasn't drank at all! And he has been praying to know when his baptism should be.

I recently finished the Book of Mormon again in my mission and this scripture in Moroni 9 really impacted me. It says,

25 My son, be faithful in Christ; and may not the things which I have written grieve thee, to weigh thee down unto death; but may Christ lift thee up, and may his sufferings and death, and the showing his body unto our fathers, and his mercy and long-suffering, and the hope of his glory and of eternal life, rest in your mind forever.

Recently, there has been a lot of stuff on my mind and it is easy to get overwhelmed with so many things to do or so many other preoccupations that really don't matter. But, Moroni teaches clearly that if we want real peace of conscience and of mind, we have to put our hope in Christ. His teachings, His doctrine, His peace, His love, His resurrection. If we can place Him at the center of our lives, and our thoughts, and our actions, well He will help us be faithful in Him.

To all those who are stressed, or overwhelmed, or tired, put your focus on Him!! And everything will turn out ok. Love you all. Have an amazing week!
