It's Been A While...
Hey everyone!! I'm really sorry that's it's been so long since I've written an email but I've been really good!! With a lot of energy and really excited of where we are at right now!
Sooooo basically two weeks ago we had transfers and it was really special because soon the missions are going to split! But the good news is that I stayed in Cholula! I was so happy to hear about it and I really love it here. And my new companion is Elder Bringhurst!! He is from Star Valley Wyoming and we're getting to work.
Also the Puebla Temple got dedicated the 19th of May and it was so cool to watch the Dedication. But, today we got to go to a session! I love how the temple teaches eternal truths and how everything testifies of the Savior Jesus Christ. Such a beautiful place truly a little piece of Heaven on Earth.
Ok time for a food review!! I'm gonna review: Molotes! Basically a molote is a fried quesadilla type of thing. It is a slab of dough, and then it gets filled up with all types of stuff! My favorites are: Potato and chorizo, chicken, onion, tomato, which is called tinga, or steak and cheese. Basically you can't go wrong with these bad boys and so it gets a 7.7.
In the temple today, the thing that impressed my mind the most was the christlike attribute of Obedience. Christ was PERFECTLY obedient, even down the exact words of His Father in every situation. It reminds me of a scripture in D&C 130:20-21,
"20 There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated—
21 And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated.
Obedience is so crucially important in our quest to be better disciples of Jesus Christ that it literally is the reason why we receive any blessing. The Holy Ghost will advise you of which law or covenant we can be more obedient to! What a special blessing that is! Please review your lives to see what things little by little you could improve on thanks to the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
