A Higher Urgency

Oh my gosh the work here is absolutely exploding!!! Like literally such an amazing week! So many people have a desire to learn more about Christ and are looking for the truth. And it's been so cool to see!

So we had our Leadership counsel meeting this week and it was sooo good. Our President talked a lot about needing to live, study, breathe, talk, teach, and serve with a higher urgency to fulfill our objective as missionaries. I love this quote by President Holland because I feel this too!

"I cannot speak fully of that experience here, but I can say that part of what I received was an admonition to return to my ministry with more urgency, more consecration, more focus on the Savior, more faith in His word."

On Saturday we had a special surprise visit from Elder Douglas of the Area Seventy! It was an awesome meeting and we were the only zone in the mission to have it! He talked a lot about the same urgency that we need to help more children of God make Covenants. We read a lot from section 109 in the Doctrine and Covenants about the incredible blessings that come from temple worship. The spirit was so strong!!

This probably was one of the Best weeks of my mission in terms of work. We put 3 people on baptism date, and we had 11 friends come to church yesterday! We taught A LOT about covenants. Also, a lot of returned missionaries came back to visit their missions and they gave us a whole bunch of references which is awesome!

Ok!! So like a lot of people have requested that I do more Food Review so here we go!! Today I'm reviewing dorisquites!! Basically you take a bag of doritos, takis, or like tostitos and crush the chips up and add a lot of corn, mayo, cheese, Chili powder, lime, and then mix it all up! They are so good like my new favorite snack so they get a 8.8/10.

I would like to share a thought about something that I've had on my mind alot the last few weeks. While studying D&C section 109, I realized that there are SO MANY BLESSINGS available to those who worthily worship in the temple. For example, we are promised:

•Thy glory be round about them, and thine angels have charge over them;

•those who shall worship in this house may be taught words of wisdom

•That no combination of wickedness shall have power to rise up and prevail over thy people

•That thy servants may go forth from this house armed with thy power

•And that they may grow up in thee, and receive a fulness of the Holy Ghost

With the ULTIMATE promise of:

•For behold, I have accepted this house, and my name shall be here; and I will manifest myself to my people in mercy in this house

How blessed are we to have temples more accesible than ever in our communities. Think of all those blessings and what they would do to your life!! It is our responsability to help others to have these blessings as well. I love you all!! And have a great week!!
