The Cholula Life (Not the Hot Sauce)

Well, God dropped another bomb of a week out here in the mission. Literally so many things went down!

First things first, I got transferred! I was not expecting that at all and the news shook me for like 3 days I was so blindsided. Anyways, this week I said goodbye to Nealtican and my wards and arrived here in Cholula on Friday. My new area is called Quetzalcoatl!

It is a really cool area! Its wayyyy bigger than my old area and I've met a lot of the members and they are awesome. Im in actually one of the biggest tourist spots in all of Puebla. Its a really beautiful place. Fun fact, there's 365 catholic churches here, one for every day of the year.

I don't have too many experiences here yet, but yesterday was awesome because we met one of our ward missionaries named Sister Santa and she is awesome!! We went out with her for a few hours and she literally gave us like 20+ references. I'm really blessed to be in a ward that has a passion for mission work and everything just goes so much better in Wards like this.

Yesterday was our stake conference and I have has a song stuck in my head ever since, Have I done any good. The 2nd verse says the following,

There are chances for work all around just now, Opportunities right in our way. Do not let them pass by, saying, “Sometime I’ll try,” But go and do something today.

The temple President for the Puebla Temple came and talked at the conference and he talked a lot about how the eyes of the world are constantly on the members of the church.He talked about the need to help everyone in all times. He pointed out often we are too worried, thinking about our own personal problems, that we forget about those around us who also have problems that need to be solved. Thinking about our problems rarely solves them. It's about the actions. So, friends and family, let's go out and do something today. Right now If possible. And truly live up to our covenants to cry with those who cry, and mourn with those who mourn.
