Happy Holy Week

Hey everyone!! I'm sorry that I haven't sent an email in a few weeks, but here is my full repentance with a brand new email!! It's been a wild few weeks so let's see what's going on here.

First of all, THERE IS SO MUCH WORK TO BE DONE HERE. Like were are literally running around all day everyday for lessons and contacts like these few weeks have flown by. For example, we're teaching a couple named Nancy and Benjamin who are going to get married in a month in order to make their first covenant with God! Also, we've been visiting a lot with Noelia, who is a sister of a few recent converts and she is so cool, she still has a few doubts and questions but is so interested in the love of God! And finally with Magaly, she and her son Luis already have testimonies of the Restoration and are trying to work out their love of the Gospel with their families so that can get baptized!! So many people are so interested to hear about how Christ can transform their lives and it is amazing to see.

Also, this past week I returned to Angelópolis for some exchanges! It was soooo weird to be back in the area where I was trained, but it was a great experience to reflect and see how much I have grown in the mission and to remember my early-mission struggles. Also, I was able to see and work with some of the members and they all commented that my Spanish was a lot better! (Which I'm glad because that was literally more than a year and a half almost ago when I knew nothing hahahaha).

Also, Holy Week is under full swing here in Cholula. Basically Mexico doesn't have a Spring Break, they just have all their vacations on this week of Holy Week. And let me tell you it's insane!! All day every day with insane parties, fireworks, and a WHOLE BUNCH of tourists. We literally met a German guy the other day his Spanish accent was so weird. So it's gonna be an interesting week of work.

To end, I would like to share a Quick experience from this past Sunday. We spent all week trying and inviting like crazy for people to come to church on Sunday. Like to the point where we exhausted and stressed ourselves out. And after all our efforts, barely anybody came. And that made us really sad. But, right before we started the Sacrament, 2 people (who I've NEVER seen before) rushed in and sat next to us. We asked them who they were or how did they get here and they responded with the following:

"Oh yeah we've never been here before we just we just were walking by the church and we had a feeling that we needed to come in and see." What?!?!? Are you kidding me? After an entire week of inviting, promising blessings, and praying for miracles almost nobody came, and yet 2 random people from the street felt the need to come in just like that? That easy?

I reflected on that thought during the sacrament and the Spirit spoke to me with the following scripture that I like,

16 "Nevertheless, my work shall go forth, for inasmuch as the knowledge of a Savior has come unto the world, through the testimony of the Jews, even so shall the knowledge of a Savior come unto my people"

I was reminded that 1) This work is God's work and I am just His instrument and 2) God is gonna get His work done.

This applies in 2 ways. Even though I am not the best missionary, or teacher, or minister, God is still gonna get this work done. So be at peace. Maybe you don't feel capable to give that talk in sacrament meeting, or to have that calling, or to love that person that really annoys you, but God is gonna get this work done despite our shortcomings. And he's going to do it through miracles and answering your prayers. And a lot of times he answers those prayers through other people. THROUGH YOU!

So my invitation for you all would be: Go out and be that miracle for someone else because God is going to get His work done through you! I love you all!! And have an amazing week!
