The Song Of Redeeming Love

Hey everyone!! What's going on I hope you all an amazing week on Valentines day and the long weekend on Presidents Day. Literally the mission is flying by wayyyy to fast to keep track of the days, but it was a really cool week so we'll get into it:

So this past Tuesday we had interviews with President which are always awesome because he is literally so much wisdom and power that he can answer pretty much any question or doubt with an awesome answer. ¡BUT! I was the last interview and afterwards as a surprise our President told us, "Oh yeah we actually have a meeting together in 10 minutes so let's go."

Anyways we hopped in his Minivan and we went to a meeting with the 3 stake Presidents and their counselors of Nealtican and then President and us. So cool!! Never in my life have I had a meeting with so much power than this one. But it was about like stake growth and basically we had different ideas on how to do that. So it was missionaries vs stake Presidents and we fought it out oh man it was so sick.

Also, Wednesday was Valentines day and we had exchanges with the APs but it turns out that here they went absolutely nuts for valentines day! Like literally parties all day nonstop. So we took advantage of it and taught a LOT about eternal families and sealings in the temple. It was interesting tho because never in my mission have I taught a lesson while, "AND IIIIIIIIII WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOOOOOUUUUUUOOOUO,"

Also, fun story we had another 3 day exchange in a trio, and on the end of the 3rd day, we went out on the roof and we got stuck up on there (again) so we had to climb down the house with a hammock doing a whole bunch of Parkour. Also, to get to those intercambios I literally had to travel 2 hours by myself which was the most UNCOMFORTABLE thing I've ever done.

Now, knowing that it was Valentines Day, I would like to share a thought about a crazy little thing called love in Alma 5:26 that says, 

"And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?"

I think a lot of people fall in love with things as the way they are. God's message is, in fact, a little differnt. Yes, He loves as we are, that is an eternal truth. But, he loves too much to leave us as we are. That is why He sent the Savior to suffer and die for us. So we can sing the sweet song of redeeming love that Christ has for us. Repentance and a change of heart literally exist to transform us into better people.

I just really love this doctrine. God and Christ's love for us is transforming and esencial for our growth. He loves us so thats why he asks us to repent. He loves us and that's why sometimes he chastens us. But it's all done to unlock our full potential as sons and daughters of God. And I can promise you that there is no greater #1 hit on the charts than the Song of Redeeming Love. I love you all!! And I hope you all have a great week!!
