The Corn Master

Hey everyone!!! I hope you all had an amazing Holiday Season with Christmas and the New Year! I haven't even written since last year hehehe but yeah it's been a while so let's see what's happening.

Annnyywwwaaayyys, it's kind of been an insane past couple of weeks and we have really been working hard with the other missionaries in exchanges. For example, we had a split with the AP's and with most of our District Leaders. I am actually in an exchange right now and it's gonna last 5 or 6 days so it's all been fun to be able to help the other missionaries come to Christ more and visit and see their areas.

Also, we've been getting to know a lot of the members from our Wards. Since we in a small town, we serve the members a lot in their fields all around Nealtican. Not even gonna lie, my Spanish vocabulary has grown IMMENSELY just by working in the fields. Like literally corn is somehow the most complicated thing of all time and I literally learned soooo much about the art of corn and how to make tortillas and Tamales and things like that haha.

So, in my first email when I said that my area was really small, like I meant it. It only has 3 streets in Nealtican and a small town outside with not too many poeple. And so we've been working so hard in the small town called Tecuanipan. And last week we were able to put 2 people on date for baptism. They are so excited for the temple and to get sealed for all time and eternity!

This year we are so privileged to be able to study the Book of Mormom as a church. It is literally the keystone of our religion! And it contains very sacred truths that are only found in the Church of Jesus Christ. Two of my favorite verses that talk about the divinity of the Book of Mormon is found in 2nd Nephi 33:10-11 that say,

10 And now, my beloved brethren, and also Jew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and believe in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall believe in Christ ye will believe in these words, for they are the words of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they teach all men that they should do good.

11 And if they are not the words of Christ, judge ye—for Christ will show unto you, with power and great glory, that they are his words, at the last day; and you and I shall stand face to face before his bar; and ye shall know that I have been commanded of him to write these things, notwithstanding my weakness.

The Book of Mormon teaches eternal truths. And these eternal truths have eternal consequences. Oh how blessed we are to have these words of Christ in our lives!! And I absolutely love these verses because even if we don't accept we are still invited to believe in Christ and let him into our lives. Because he is the Great Mediator of all things and our eternal friend and Savior. The Book of Mormon teaches that we all should do good, because that is exactly what the Savior did!!

The Book of Mormon is true!! And it testifies if Christ!! And I would encourage each of you to study and ponder on it's teachings. And then apply them in your lives. That is the key to happiness. That is the key to perfecting your life in Him. I love you all. Have an amazing week!!
