Running It Back!

Hey everyone! Whats up and hows it going? Sorry its been a while, I'm still here and alive out here in the mission. It's just been a wild few weeks out here! Ok so first of all, we got transfer news! And guess what: I'm staying here in Refugio with Elder Gonzales! Literally nothing changed haha! God really needs me to learn something here in this area with the people in teaching or the members or the missionaries but we staying and were gonna get to work! We went to cambios (transfers) this week and we got to see all the mission legends! My comp Elder Madsen from the Mtc, my mission dad Elder Dunn, and my mission son Elder McDonough! It turns out that both my mission sons are training and one is a DL, so I'm a mission grandpa now and a proud dad haha. But yeah it was an awesome day to see some good ol' friends. Also, Day of the Dead is coming up soon! A few weeks ago, we went to Atlixco (my old area) and it was decorated so awesomely! There are like all these huge s...

Livin' On A Prayer

Well, my dear friends and family, elders and sisters, ladies and gentlemen, we are halfway there! And we certainly are living on a prayer. Tomorrow, the 10th of October, will be my year mark from my first day as a missionary. I have learned so much and experienced so many different things in this past year. I learned a new language. I've eaten some incredible food (Watch out for the full out taco Power Rankings btw). I've met so many amazing people. I've seen so many miracles. I literally have never been quite this happy to be serving the Lord. But it wasn't always like that. I definately have had trials. In my training, I was suffering a lot. I struggled with the language, I missed my family, my companion and I did not mix well. Later when I had 6 months in the mission, I was passing through a huge trial wit...

White House, Green Door

Hey everyone! This week was a little bit more low key, and so I'm just going to share one of the coolest miracles that happened to me in my mission. Basically we found a person that didn't exist. Last week after P-Day ended we decided to go out and contact on the street. So we said a prayer and asked that we could find a new person to teach, and we only needed the help from God to be inspired to know where we needed to go. So we headed out and I felt an impression to go down a certain street. As we were walking, we saw a store where a person that was once in teaching worked, and so we decided to see if she was there, it turns out that she was not, but the other person that was working there was and she was very interested in hearing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We found a new person! A miracle for us! After the lesson we decided to keep contacting to find another person. This is when things get miracle-ly. We came up with a strategy of picking a name and a street that came...
