Ammonia Or Arsenic?

Hey everyone!! It was another INSANE week out here in Puebla. I kinda feel like I say that everytime, but somehow every week the mission continues to surprise me. This week we were trolled, almost poisoned, and were fed spiritually and of course physically with some amazing Mexican food. But, let's get into it.

So basically, the mission collected all the phones in the mission last monday to pass them out to all the missionaries on Wednesday. Because every missionary got there own phones in the mission! Buuuut that meant half of Monday and all of Tuesday we grinded out our missionary work without phones, WHICH SUCKED.

Let me makes myself clear: I have a newfound respect for all past missionaries who served without a cell phone. It is impressive and you have my respect forever.

Anyways, on Wednesday we just straight up got trolled by the mission and we didn't get our phone, because they sent it like 3 hours down south in Izucar so thats just fun. So we also didn't receive it until 10 at night on Wednesday but do not fret, we back rockin and rollin.

Work wise, we had a pretty tough week. Satan really threw a final punch in for a lot of our progressing friends. I invite all of you to read Helaman 5:12 and apply it's doctrine in your lives. When the devil sends his mighty winds, if you are built upon the foundation of Christ, you will NOT fall. I have seen this promise this week a lot and I truly testify of it.

So as always a crazy experience for the week. So we're pretty sure we have a narc as a person in teaching. His official job is "A Private Collector" and always says to us "I don't have work in the afternoon and in the morning I do nothing" and he's absolutely loaded with money. (Teleportation guy). Well the Lore grows bigger this week when we came inside and started talking he offered us each a Puebla specialty: A Chile en Nogada! Which was INSANE people just dont have these things lying around usually haha. Because they take like a day and a half to make and cost what would be about 20 american dollars every Chile.

Anyways, while we were eating them, he brought us some water, and then out of nowhere he pulled out a bottle of what was either arsenic or ammonia out of jacket and just set it in front of us to troll us or to show us that we are gonna die or something. But do not fret we are still alive and here haha!!

But PAY ATTENTION!! We have an insane food review for you all. Chiles en Nogada: The poblanos here go crazy for them and it is a specialty only made in August and September. Anyways, it's a HUGE chile/Pepper stuffed with cheese, Meat, and it also has apples, carrots, peaches, and other fruits in it. Then they fry it and cover it in a White nut sauce and put pomegranite seeds on top. Everyone goes nuts for it and I waited so long to try my first one but it is really good, (maybe a little overhyped so it gets a 7.1/10.

This week I was reading in the Isaiah chapters in 2nd Nephi when I found a scripture that really stuck out to me. In 2 Nephi 20:15 it says,

"Shall the ax boast itself against him that heweth therewith? Shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? As if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself as if it were no wood!"

For me, I love this scripture because it shows us our place and our natural here. We are truly instruments in the hand of God. A saw doesnt flex on the one who yields it and takes credit for the work done. No, but rather the one who holds the saw. I learned a lot about humility from this scripture and having our eye single to the glory of God. He is the one who helps us, strengthens us, and encourages us to grows and become better. We need to recognize his hard in all things. And I promise that if we do, we will experience more Joy and happiness in this life.

Well, sorry we didn't take that many pictures this week so ill drop like a whole ton of videos ive been holding on to, and I will see you all next week!! Love you all!
