The Snackrament Goes Hard
Whats up everyone?!?!? Happy July!!! Wow i remember the first day of the year thinking that this whole year i was going to be a misisonary and we are already half way through!! Ok this week was really busy, but awesome!!
So first of all, this wards participates HARD in the snackrament, which is basically when they bring like all sorts of type of bread for the sacrament which I am 100% down for. Like for 2 sundays in a row they have brought like this fancy Bakery style sweet bread for the sacrament and not gonna lié, it is a really uplifting spiritual experience to eat basically like Great Harvest bread for the sacrament.
But there is so much work to be done here!! The other elderes left soooo many people in our area book and so weve just spent every hour visiting people and setting up lessons and invite invite invite. And we were able to put 5 people on baptism and that was just a HUGE miracle for us. And so we are going to keep it going this week and trusting in the Lord and in His miracles.
Also, low key its kinda cold out here. Were only getting up to the low 70s out here and in the mornings its a crisp 50 degrees out here. Like im going to be so weak when I get back to Idaho. But i just thought id share that flex with the other missionaries out there dying in the heat.
We also met our new mission presidents this week, Presidente y Hermana Oyarzabal!! They are so cool i love them already!! They shared so many cool experiences in the MTC with all the apóstoles there and the propietario too. I know were in good hands out here in Good ol Puebla Mexico.
So ive been studying the talk "A Legacy of Encouragement" a lot this week by President Eyring in the October 2022 General Conference. My favorite quote says,
"Regardless of the struggle, what would matter most would be to arrive at home to be with her Heavenly Father. And she knew she could do it through faith in her Savior."
I love this quote because it points out out main goal in this life: Being with our Heavenly Father again after this life. And he points out how we can do it: Through Faith (and action) through Jesús Christ. We should always remember our main goal in this life and when we pass through trials we need to remember how we get there.
Thats all im gonna explain for now, because my invitación is for you all to read it for yourselves. But, always have an amazing 4th of July!! Please please please party hard, and i dont know how we are going to celebrate, but we are 2 white guys in México, so were gonna do something. Have an amazing week!! Love you all!!
