I Saw a Pillar of Light...

Hey Everyone!!! How is it going that's right you got the Elder Ritchie coming back at you with another email about the crazy little thing called... the mission life. Life is Bright, the food is still amazing, my son is growing in wisdom and stature and in favour of God and the Mexicans, so that is awesome! Well, let's see what we got here...

First of all, BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!! For years and years many of you have trolled and quite frankly bullied me on the matter that I always am sunburned and that I never tan. BUT, I have big news, I AM GETTING SO TAN OUT HERE. The sun is literally so strong it is always at the level 11 UV Index which is pretty high and that is the only force in the world that can get me tan. So, of course, I will drop a diagram down below to prove my point.

So last week at church the last person was giving her talk when out of nowhere the fire alarm went off!! But like no one did anything, and this sister trucked through it and finished her talk with the annoying "MRRHH MRRHH MRRHH" noise and we even sung the closing hymn and prayed in it too!! But like no one moved or even batted an eye at it and we didn't evacuate until after sacrament meeting. And it was just a drill, and I don't know how they knew it, but that was kind of crazy!!

So, I was pretty hyped to get transferred back to the city but then I remembered that literally there are so many CRAZY PEOPLE in the City. For example, my good friend David. David is an interesting man with an interesting relationship with Alcohol. And our visits with him are always exciting because one time he literally out of nowhere started saying... "I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head. " And we were like what the heck this dude had the 2nd vision, but it turns out that he just saw God, but God doesn't come down to comfort him or anything but God just comes down to Roast him for being a bad person. Like literally just insults him. Sooo we don't really know what to do with that. Also, sometimes he just takes a break in the lessons to talk with "others" with us. So a few times he starts talking with spirits or something like that and bursts out crying or something and one time he gave these spirits his credit card number right in front of us haha.

Alrighty... its time ladies and gentlemen for another FOOD REVIEW lets absolutely get it!! Alright today we got Chilaquiles!! Basically they are these tortillas chips covered in this salsa stuff, and that makes them soft. And then on top you can add onions, cheese, steak, an egg, an avocado or other stuff that makes them soooo good. In fact they get a 8.2/10.

I've been thinking a lot about the scripture in John 21:14 that says,

"This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead."

Jesus Christ appeared to his disciples and friends three times after his death and resurrection, and all 3 times they did not recognize him as the Savior. So that made me think a little bit, how many times has the Lord manifested himself unto us with Miracles, Tender Mercies, or blessings, but we do not recognize that they come from Him? He is always looking for every reason to bless us according to our obedience or to give us a tender mercy to help us come a little closer to the straight and narrow path. It is interesting, right? It is necessary that we always have our eye single to the glory of Him in all things so that we can recognize His hands in all things. But that doesn't mean we won't have trials. Everytime we have to learn, grow, or do something difficult, that is when we learn to better recognize the Hand of The Lord in our lives. So that's my invitation for today. Watch out and keep track of how many times the Lord has blessed you with a miracle, tender mercy, or blessing, AND IT WILL SURPRISE WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE!!
