Hi Eveyone, Welcome To Chilis!
What is up everybody?!?! I hope you are all are vibing and absolutely enjoying the start of this summer. We had another nice week out here in Atlixco. But some things absolutely WENT DOWN and so you know what, lets get right into the crazy little thing we call the mission life.
Last Tuesday, we went out to Puebla and we had a special meeting with all of the new missionaries and the trainers. It was pretty sick because we got there and we had a breakfast with President, and got a few trainings from people. And then we split up trainers and newbies to talk about some of the problems that we have and wow, some other companionships are whack. Im really blessed to have an amazing, humble, and respectful missionary as a son.
Also, for those of you who truly know me, you already know that I have a deep pasión for chilis, the restaurant. And GUESS WHAT. I found one. A chilis in Puebla. And so we went a day earlier and we went because mijo has never been. It was definitely the best decision and experience that has ever happened to me in the history of my life. It legit tasted like the states and an amazing father son moment.
Also, México is freaking hype everyone is just so nice and happy to be alive and always just want to try to talk to me in English, even though they cant speak it. But one day we were walking in this small town where we took this back path near a lake and we came across this huge group of people. And so we made our way through the group and they stopped us and asked us who we were. And then they just gave us a whole bunch of free tacos al pastor!!! And they told us how they are celebrating because they have water, but they have water every day!! Oh my gosh I love México so much they just find every reason to party and to be happy and eat tacos and thats something Im definitely going to implement into my life.
Ok food review time: Today i have a Puebla specialty!! Mole. Mole is a special broen sauce thing made out of chocolate, nuts, Spices, and other things. You can slap it on chicken, tortas, enchiladas, rice, or whatever you want because this marvelous creación gets an 8.4/10.
Ok but this is one of the coolest things ive heard in my entire life. So, the Mother of the family we just baptized recently had a revelation of a lifetime. So weve already finished our discussions about the temple amd family history work when she told us about her Dream she had.
In this dream, she saw her dad who recently died a few months ago, and she had been really sad because she never had the chance to say goodbye. And so in her dream she saw her dad and a few other family members basically in a place like heaven. And in this drean they were finally able to say goodbye and tell how much then loved each other and how proud he is of her. And at the end of the dream he told her, "Hija, the work that you are doing in the gospel is good, and keep going. And go to the temple and be baptized for me and for your family, so we may be together forever." She told me that it was the most real dream she has ever felt in her entire life.
That just absolutely blew my mind. God truly is in every aspect of missionary work, willing at any time to give revelation to help a soul come to Him. I love D&C 84:88 where it says,
"And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up."
Whatever we do, wherever we are, whenever it is, and when we do something in the name of the Lord. Praying, reading the scriptures, walking in faith during a trial, missionaries, or fulfilling your calling, the Lord will be there. To give you revelation. Protection. Love. To besar you up. Whenever you are in the hour of the Lord, he will be there to give you His spirit and to surround you with his Angels and testify to you that these things are true. I bear testimony of that with of my heart.
