Gringos VS Mexicanos

Whats up everybody!!! This week and this transfer has honestly been flying by!!! It was another glorious, marvelous, grand ol week out here in Atlixco, Puebla. Miracles?!?! Boom we got em! New people?!?! Heeeeeck yeah!! A few shenanigans?!?! Well, of course its Elder Ritchie here. Alrighty enough chit chat lets hop into it.

Well, we had an amazing missionary activity and we themed it off the lost sheep parable. Basically we hid a bunch of paper sheeps around the church, and we had a family home evening type activity with like 30 members. We first explained the parable of the lost sheep, and then went on and taught how the worth of ALL souls is great in the sight of God, all of his sheep. And then they had to go and find the sheep, and write one name of a friend, neighbor, or a member that they havent seen in a while. After the activity, all the members started sharing their testimonies about how some of them were lost sheep in their lives and how they were found by the Great Pastor!! It was so awesome!!

We also had an absolutely amazing Family Home Evening with a couple in teaching and we watched The Restauration movie. Literally i have watched parts of it probably a 100 times, but it was a very special experience to be able to watch it as a missionary. The spirit was testifying of the truthfulness the ENTIRE TIME. And afterwards, we had an absolutely amazing chat with them and we atually put them on date for baptism!!

Also, today was like mexican labor Day. And so we got together as Elders Quorum because not a lot of people had to work, and it was a blast. Except, the mexicans have so much confidence in their basketball skills. But the problem is that they all suck at basketball. And they always want to play White people VS mexicanos which always ends terrible. All we do is Rain 3s on their heads and end up disgracing them. But then they return the favor to us in soccer, so it makes up for their awfulness and pride in basketball.

Ladies and Gentlemen, its time for Food Review: alrighty its been a while since one of these but today im gonna review TORTAS! Basically these bad boys are decked out Mexican sandwiches and they are straight up Fire. This torta below has enchilada steak, cheese, chorizo, ham, chicken, pineapple, onion, tomato, ham, and avocado and is straight up from Heaven and it gets an 8.4/10.

For my scripture this week comes from James, a popular scripture from the restauration haha but verse 5 says,

"5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

I thought about this scripture a lot this week. The most marvelous work, all of our gospel, the restauration, the book of Mormón, temples, and EVERYTHING started with a doubt. Joseph Smith had a doubt, and when he acted on that doubt, it started an amazing work. And so what, who cares Elder Ritchie?!?!?

Im saying that it is ok to doubt something, but DO NOT continue to live in that World of doubt. You have to act and search out an answer to your problem. Ask your Father in Heaven what the answer is or why something is the way it is. But, if we don't do anything about it, how is God going to help us through it? If you knock, he will open the door. If you seek, you will find the truth. Pray, and it will be answered. You can and will know the truth of all things. If you act.

Well, thats all for today folks, but always remember that I love you all and have an amazing week!!
