La Pascua
Hey everyone!!! I hope that you were all able to have an absolutely amazing easter and celebrate the resurrection of Jesús Christ this week. We had an absolutely amazing week so here we go!!
Ok so we had a really cool initiative this week where our entire mission woke up like 10 minutes earlier to study Holy Week. In the gospel library app, there was a study program of what happened everyday of Holy Week that the savior did. It was really awesome and it was an amazing way to start off each day.
Also, we had a special easter devotional yesterday morning!! We all woke up at 6 and we had a devotional with the entire mission where we watched the sunrise together!! It was such a special experience and we sung songs and heard some words and experiences from our president and other missionaries.
We also experienced something terrible yesterday as well. During the middle of our weekly planning, we heard thunder and saw lightning, and so naturally we went up on the roof to check out what was happening and you know maybe get some sick videos or something. Well it was pretty sick im not gonna lie, but that feeling quickly faded when we heard the door to our house slam shut and so we got locked out of our house without Keys and we were stranded on our roof. Then the storm hit. All around us was lightning, thunder, wind with a bunch of sand and dirt, and of course Rain. So we were stuck on our roof for 2 hours while we waited for the Elders with our keys and getting soaked haha.
Alrighty my scriptural thought today comes from Romans 8: 38-39 that says,
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
There is not one thing on this earth that can seperate us from the love of our God and the love from our savior Jesús Christ. Literally nothing exists. Not a sin. Not a person. Not anything. Think about that for a second. Think about how much of a blessing that is to know that if we dont know anything else, we always know that God loves us. Basically what im trying to say is that,
There ain't no Mountain hiiiigh enough, ain't no valley looooow enough, ain't no river wiiiide enough, to keep GOD'S LOVE from getting to you baaaaaabbbbbeeee.
The suffering of Jesús Christ was done out of love. Because He loves you. He was crucified because He loves you. He has risen because He loves you and wants the same for you. I hope all of you were able to feel the love of the savior this week, and if not please pray to feel of it!! And also, take a few minutes this week to share that love of God with others!!! Have an amazing week everybody, and I love you all!!
