We Got Trolled By Elder Gong

What's up everyone!! I hope everyone had an amazing week and Happy March!!! Its crazy how it is already March! Time has really flown by. This week was another good week filled with work. So, I'm just gonna recap whats been going on out here in Good ol' Atlixco.

Elder Baez da: Ok so living with 4 Elders is absolutely awesome. Especially because 2 of us are from the States and the other 2 are from Mexico and so the mix of culture and behavior is ummmmm... different. But Elder Baez is probably my favorite Mexican ever. So, Elder DeBry and I have been teaching him some American things and it had been so awesome. First, he tried his FIRST peanut butter and jelly sandwich of his life and now he is hooked!! We even bought extra ingredients for him to satisfy his cravings. Also, you know how you have a box of salad and you put the dressing on and shake it up? He has mastered that skill. And finally, Elder Baez has been introduced to Fry Sauce and he will never go back to his old ways.

We Got Trolled by Elder Gong: So, Elder Gong has been here for like a week to have a meeting with all the Bishops, Relief Societies, and Elders Quorum presidents. But HE DIDNT MEET WITH THE MISSIONARIES. 2 missionaries literally met him on the street in a different and they have been flexing on us. And to top it all off Elder Gong even met with a famous local group of Mariachis: The Mariachis Misterios, and not the missionaries.

Book of Mormons: So our mission has a problem right now that we have 0 Book of Mormons. Literally no missionaries in our mission have copies of the Book of Mormons and the church is having problems sending us more which has been an L for the missionary work.

Zone Conference & English: We also had our Zone Conference this week and it was as hype as ever!! We always are so excited to see the other missionaries and President of course. The boys of libertad all repped matching handmade ties. Also, our mission is having a big initiative for all non native English speakers to learn English. So in the morning all 4 of us speak in English and its so hilarious. Also, my companion had to give the opening prayer in English at Zone conference and so I taught him how to do it. Let me tell you guys I really had to restrain myself from teaching him wrong words like "Dear Heavenly Carrot"

My spiritual thought comes from the exact problem that we have in our mission right now: The importance of the Book of Mormon. President Russell M Nelson said,

"Each individual who prayerfully studies the Book of Mormon can also receive a testimony of its divinity. In addition, this book can help with personal problems in a very real way. Do you want to get rid of a bad habit? Do you want to improve relationships in your family? Do you want to increase your spiritual capacity? Read the Book of Mormon! It will bring you closer to the Lord and His loving power. He who fed a multitude with five loaves and two fishes—He who helped the blind to see and the lame to walk—can also bless you! He has promised that those who live by the precepts of this book “shall receive a crown of eternal life.”

I testify that there is a power in the Book of Mormon that will flow through your life the moment you start a study of it. Its more than a book, its a way of life. Because of it, we have the truth, the path, the light, and the true doctrine of Jesus Christ. And all we have to do is read and study it, and through this process we will become more devoted and faithful. It has the power to change your life. Please, take advantage of this tool in our lives. All of you, no matter where you come from or where you are have the opportunity to know of the truthfulness and havd your lives bettered.
