Atlixco De Las Flores

What's up everyone?!?! I hope everyone had an amazing week. I am absolutely LOVING it here in Atlixco.

Libertad is sooooo BEAUTIFUL. We are literally living under the Volcano Popocatépetl. We exercise out on the roof everyday and the views of the volcano and the sunrises here are AMAZING. I'll drop some pictures down below.

Also, Atlixco is famous for their flowers. They literally call it Atlixco of the flowers because they grow really good here. So hopefully over the next little bit ill take some awesome pics of the beautiful flowers.

Well this week was kind of hard because we didnt receive our area book literally until yesterday. And so we didnt have any contacts, persons, or lessons. But its all good because we are going to absolutely GET TO WORK this week. My companion is from Nayarit, Mexico and he is really cool. We are getting along well too so thats a plus.

Also, were living with the Zone Leaders until we find a place and it Is HYPE. One of them is Elder DeBry and he just finished his service as AP and the other is Elder Baez and he is one of the best teachers i think I have ever seen. It is so fun to live with them and learn from them too.

A scripture that I have thought about a lot is Alma 37:6-7 that says,

6 "Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise. 7 And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls."

So my question to you all is: How are we going to accomplish the biggest things in this life is we dont do the small things first? How are we supposed to serve a mission if we dont mentally, physically, and spiritually prepare ourselves beforehand? How are we supposed to make and keep sacred covenants if we dont first do the small things like praying and reading the scriptures to grow our faith? How are we supposed to endure to the end with a firmness in Christ if we didnt gain a testimony of Christ in the first place?

God will often give us small tasks to do or small impressions to follow. If we do what we are supposed to do, more will come. And more. And more. And over a while we will have accomplished a great thing that will "bringeth about the salvation of [your] soul." And so my invitation is, as obvious as it may seem, to pay attention and to do the little things. Follow that little inspiration you have. Read a verse or two at the end of the day when your tired. All of these things will bring to pass great and marvelous things.
