The Fateful Day Of December The 29th

For my email this week I'm only going to explain the events that transpired on the great and dreadful day of the 29th of December.

As some backstory, this last Thursday was very important to us and we had 5 pretty important lessons and we were going to end the day with our "Golden Family" which is the family we are teaching that has the most potential.

Anyways, we were sitting in personal study when all of a sudden it hit me. HARD. I was not feeling good but that didn't matter because we had to teach a whole ton of lessons today. So, we headed to our lesson and during the whole time I was just trying so hard not to throw up. But, that didn't matter because literally during the lesson I hopped outside and threw up the hardest I've ever done in my life. My comp and the Hermana we were teaching didn't know what to do, but then I finished up and went back inside. But the best part was that our friend wasn't that interested until AFTER I threw up and then I came back in and started teaching again and she was impressed and we set another appointment so that was awesome.

The rest of my day went as follows: For the next three lessons we would get there 5 minutes early for me to throw up outside their house. Then we would pray so hard that I would be able to you know like function during the lesson. Then we would teach the lesson. Then afterwards we would go outside for 5 minutes and I would take some time to throw up again. We did that 3 TIMES. And the best part was we scheduled more appointments with all of them.

But the craziest part was that in the afternoon we had a lesson with our "Golden Family" and they live in a really rich area that we need a ride. So we were waiting in front of a Little Caesars and I remember sitting and praying "I don't care what happens to me before or after this lesson, but please just let me be able to teach this lesson." And then I immediately got up and threw up in the bathroom of Little Caesars. We then went on to teach the most perfect lesson we have ever taught and we are so excited for their progress. And as usual, I went home afterwards and threw up again haha. But OH MY GOSH I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY THERE IS LITERALLY NO OTHER PLACE I'D RATHER BE.

Aaaaannnyywaayyyss, there have been some other cool things that have happened. For example, our house had a gas leak, I tried Cow Head Tacos (which were like so mid they were like all fat and had no flavor with hairs of them so they get like 5.8/10), we set two more baptism dates, we saw an ACTUAL dead person with like a bunch of police and crime scene next to our church, and also since me and companion are both gringos the Mexicans will straight up take pictures with us or try to sneak pictures with us and it is so awesome.

My spiritual thought for this week comes from President Nelson when he said:

"Our Heavenly Father has reserved many of His most noble spirits—perhaps, I might say, His finest team—for this final phase. Those noble spirits—those finest players, those heroes—are you!"

So my thought would be: Each and everyone of you are so special in the eyes of God. You all have been reserved for this time on Earth. All of you could have been born whenever in whatever place, but NO!!! You are here. Now. So, I would encourage you all to ponder about why you were placed on this Earth at this time. Ask your Father in Heaven too!!! Because we all have a divine purpose and a perfect, individual plan for each and every one of us. And then take advantage of that reason why you are here.

Some other exciting news, I am staying another transfer in Angelópolis with Elder Dunn!!! I hope you all had an amazing New Year and set some awesome resolutions. Love you all!! Have an amazing week!!
