Here A Little, There A Little

What's up everyone! It was another absolutely amazing week out here in Puebla! Had some amazing food, met some awesome people, and got my testimony strengthened. La vida misional: there's nothing quite like it.

English Class!! So, we started an English class on Thursdays and it is a big hit! It is soooo much fun to teach and it makes me feel a lot better about my spanish too. We get all kind of people there: members, inactives, investigadors, and just people from the community. Everyone here just wants to learn and practice their English with us so we were like what the heck let's start an English Class, and it has been such an awesome experience so far!

Mexican Buses!! Alright as you guys can probably guess, the Mexican buses are absolutely WILD!!! First of all, there's like buses and there's something called Combis. And combis are like the 15 passenger vans, where they scrape out all the chairs except a few and you just stand in them. They're insane. One time I counted like 24 people in one. They're always crammed packed and it's just awesome. Also, buses and combis never come to a complete stop, you hop on and as soon as you get one foot on THEY ABSOLUTELY TAKE OFF!! You pretty much just have to hold on and pray on. Same with getting off, once you're off, they GO so it's kinda an adventure every time haha.

Also, we baptized our friend Omar this week! His story is awesome and his faith is so strong.

So, Omar met with the missionaries a few years ago and he was not interested AT ALL. He only had like one interaction with them and then ghosted them and was left alone. So one day Elder Dunn and I contacted him kinda out of nowhere and he said that he wanted to get taught! He told us that he met this girl who had an incredible amount of peace and happiness in her life. He asked her why she was so happy and she responded that she was a member of the Church! One thing led to another and they actually started dating!

But the coolest thing is that literally an hour before we texted him he kept getting this impression that he needed to reach out to the missionaries! And when we reached out first, he said that it was a miracle to him. God's timing for Omar wasn't right a few years ago, but now it was the right time and the right circumstances for him to accept the Gospel into his heart.

His baptism was on Saturday and it was awesome. He just seemed so happy, and I absolutely love bringing people the joy and peace of the gospel. Also, something epic, THEY LITERALLY PULLED UP WITH ENGAGEMENT RINGS ON WHAT THE HECK WE WERE SO HYPED!!!

Omar is a big example to me because he acts with so much faith. He wants to know everything about the church, and the doctrine and teaching behind every principle. I mean I study the gospel of Jesus Christ every day and I don't know everything. But we shared 2nd Nephi 28:30 with him that says,

"For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have."

It's hard sometimes to not be able to know everything, but if we knew everything that would be knowledge and not faith! So we need to trust in the Lord's timing for us by revealing revelation a little at a time. I think God often gives us little pieces at a time to see if we will act on the revelation and feelings we receive. The more we act and the more we learn, the more we are going to receive. It's a promise from God, and it's a promise I encourage you all to follow. The more we listen and act on the promptings of the Spirit, we are going to receive more blessings in our lives.

Anyways, as always thank you all for the support and the messages you've sent me. I hope you all have an amazing week and I love you all!!
