SAAAAANTAAAAA!!!! I KNOW HIM!!!

Hello everyone!! There is one week left until CHRISTMAS!! It feels very weird being 75 degrees here everyday, but it's coming up!! I hope everyone has had time this Christmas season to ponder and give thanks for the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. In the Spirit of the holidays, I am dedicating this email to my adventures this holiday season.

But first, I have an announcement. I HAVE A NEW TRAINER!!! His name is Elder Dunn and he is an absolute DAWG. He is a part of the Air Force and so now I literally have had 2 companions that are part of the Armed Forces and I have loved that because they know how to work hard. So, we kinda have realized our area is in absolute shambles, and we made a pact we are going to change that. He is soooo funny and we get together so well. Also, he is a white guy from Maryland and we get SO many gringo comments I absolutely LOVE it haha. Also, we have GOT TO WORK and it is awesome. I am finally becoming the missionary I've always wanted to be.

But, we had our ward Christmas party the other day and it was amazing!! My whole district came and we sang Christmas hymns to welcome all the people there. Then we had a devotional where the ward members all performed music and gave their testimonies. It was great. Then we had dinner and we gave a blessing and we headed home.

Also, we got the Christmas spirit going on here in Mexico. A lot of times we have gone and helped members set up their Christmas trees and their decorations. Also we have our own little Christmas trees, stockings, and gifts.

Also, this is kind of a funny experience, but we were shopping in Walmart for groceries when we heard "All I Want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey. I couldn't even escape that song when I fled for Mexico for two years. Which goes to show that Mariah Carey surpasses all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people.

Also, we went to a Mexican McDonalds this week!! Honestly it was REALLY good and actually rivals the United States. The Oreo Mcflurries are absolutely BOMB too. So, honestly it was so good and I'm going to rate it a 8.1/10.

Alright so this is the Christmas Season and a season to really remember the Savior Jesus Christ, so I'm actually going to give two spiritual messages so here we go.

So, first, I usually like to give a thought that was relevant to the work this week. So, this week I am going to talk about Forgiveness. There is no better time than the Christmas season to show your love for the Savior than forgiving someone. President Faust said, "Forgiveness is freeing up and putting to better use the energy once consumed by holding grudges, harboring resentments, and nursing unhealed wounds. It is rediscovering the strengths we always had and relocating our limitless capacity to understand and accept other people and ourselves.” Forgiveness can heal the wounds we have towards others and feel the healing power of Christ. So, I encourage all of you, if there is something or someone you need to forgive, please do it. Also, it is a commandment from Jesus Christ to forgive all men, so it also shows our obedience.

Also, a lot of people have told me that I might be sad to miss my home during the Christmas season and our traditions. But I am actually not feeling that way. My good friend has always had a sign in his house that defined what a missionary was. It said, "Missionary: Someone who leaves their family for a short time so that others may be with their families for Eternity." I have a special opportunity as a missionary to bring and unite other people for eternity. And honestly, sacrificing time with my family so I can help other families be together forever is something I love doing for the people of Mexico.

Well, that's pretty much it!! Please everyone Light the World this Christmas Season, and remember the birth of Jesus Christ. Love you all and have a very FELIZ NAVIDAD!!
