Dia De Los Muertos Is Insane

"You've applied for the job and now it is time to get to work."

This quote by our casa leader pretty much sums up my life so far during my time here at the CCM. I have never had so many spiritual and sacred experiences during such a short time during my life, all while learning spanish.

I absolutely LOVE the CCM (Centro de Capacitación de Misionero). The grounds are absolutely beautiful. There are so many palm trees and flowers it literally feels like the temple grounds. We are surrounded by big mountains and they all have the most colorful houses on them. The sunsets and sunrises here are also amazing. Something so cool too is that we all live in houses. Our house has 24 elders in it and it can get a little crazy sometimes but it is such a cool environment to be in as well. The spirit is so strong on these grounds you can have a spiritual experience wherever you go. All of the buildings are named after prophets and they are all so nice and beautiful. They also have the most beautiful murals here, and I will include them over my next couple of emails. Sometimes I wish my mission was here at the CCM because I love it so much.

My companion and I are firing on ALL cylinders. His maturity and wisdom is totally unmatched and is much needed when our district has problems or needs a teaching moment. He has the strongest testimony and when he isn't bearing his testimony or sharing wise words he is telling us how he got to drive tanks and stuff during his time in the army haha. We also absolutely terrorize the volleyball courts together. Just the other day we beat my whole district in a 2 vs 8 volleyball game.

I don't know how, but my district is somehow better in person. The way that each of us have our own individual talents and we all work together in harmony. The one way that I've noticed during my time here is that GOD IS IN CHARGE. The way that everything perfectly matches up with callings, companions, and even the miracles I've seen truly testifies of that. Also, they are the funniest group of individuals I might have ever met. Literally during lunch the other day I THREW UP because I was laughing so hard. They are my new family and I love hanging out with them and bioinging it up with them.

The Spanish is coming along pretty well actually. I truly can testify that the Gift of Tongues is true. I've been able to hold mini spanish lessons in our casa every night for those in my district who aren't quite grasping it yet. I love teaching them and growing with them. It definitely is a blessing that we are here immersed in Spanish because it is really helping us out. Yesterday, we had an english fast where we didn't speak english for a whole day. It was tough, but it really helped.

Something interesting that happened here was that it was Dia de Los Muertos!! The mexican people here in the city go crazy for it!!! All night long there was music, fireworks, and gunshots to be heard. The CCM is decorated for it too and I'll include some pictures of that in here as well. Oh, and also there was a rumor that we were gonna watch Coco for a devotional so that was an absolute LIE.

I'd like to finish with a spiritual thought. My companion said the other day before bed that "The worst part of the day is when I can't say any more personal prayers." That literally shook me. Prayer is literally so important in our lives. In Alma 37, we learn to "Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good." God will never lead us astray. I can promise you all of that. I would like to extend a personal invitation to you all as well. In your personal prayers I would like all of you to ask for the following. 1. ¿Existe?/ Do you exist? 2. ¿Conoce mi nombre?/ Do you know my name? 3. ¿Tiene un plan por mi?/ Do you have a plan for me? I promise you all if you do this with sincerity you will receive an answer and it will change your life.

Anyways, as always I love you all and hope you are doing good. Also, I would love to hear from you all and for those of you that already reached out I will try to respond as soon as possible. See you next week!
